NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE
The increase in the National Minimum Wage (NMW) will apply uniformly across all sectors of labour, including domestic workers and farm workers.
The National Minimum Wage will increase from R27,58 per hour to R28,79 per hour.
Effective from 1 March 2025
EARNINGS THRESHOLD
The Earnings Threshold (ET) is the annual income level that determines which employees are eligible for special protection of aspects such as ordinary hours of work, overtime, meal intervals, etc.
The Earnings Threshold (ET) will increase from R254,371.67 to R261,748.45 annually.
This equals a monthly increase in the threshold value from R21,197.63 to R21,812.37.
